  • Celebrate strengths and then determine the lowest goal area (the lowest mean score for a goal area) for reading, language usage, and math. Post these as classroom goals and discuss them with your students. Look up the range for these goals on the MAP Learning Continuum Ladder and reference it as you plan instruction.
     
  •  Laura D'Acquisto's third grade students at Los Penasquitos Elementary created the sample Classroom Reading Goal on the poster to the left. The file will create an 18" x 24" poster and was printed at our local FedEx/Kinkos. If you want to print the file on your local computer for reference, be sure to change the settings to: Page Scaling>Reduce to Printer Margins.
