called DesCartes
Class Breakdown by Goal Area without Continuum:
Great to have a list you can print to show where students
are by each goal area for flexible grouping
Class Report:
Great
for class goal-setting by using the means at the bottom of
the page. Great for student goal setting (purple is
the student's lowest goal area...which is the best area for
a goal)

3. ARC
-
After each testing
window closes, PUSD retrieves all the data and reports
from NWEA, cleans them, creates additional reports, and
posts them on ARC.
For each student
tested in the fall you can print the ASG (Achievement
Status and Growth) Class Report Fall 200_ to see growth
targets for each student. Then, if you test these
students in the spring you can print the ASG Class Report
for the Spring to see the actual growth compared to the
targeted growth. See sample reports below.
Ray Wilson also provides
optimal growth targets.
If a student who is far below basic achieves optimal
growth each year, they will attain grade level
proficiency within a three year period. Advanced
students need to reach optimal growth targets in order
to stay in the advanced range.
Instructions:
to Print the Achievement Status and Growth Targets Class
Reports select them from your site's MAP reports in
ARC. You can always contact Karen Eccles and she
will have someone in her department secure these reports
for your site.

DesCartes:
teachers can look up any RIT
score in any goal area to see what a student is ready to
learn. The RIT score is a student's instructional
level. They know 50% of the items listed in the range
of their score. After logging in at the NWEA site,
teachers need to scroll down the page until they see the
word "DesCartes" under Data Tools in the menu on the left.
-
DesCartes
Vocabulary
and
Signs and Symbols:
teachers
can look up or print the new vocabulary and symbols for each
RIT range.
