Business Partners Make a Difference
"Providing Links for Student Success in the 21st Century"
Strong business and community partnerships are fostering meaningful experiences for the students of the Poway Unified School District. The support from our partners helps the District keep pace with technology and participate with the business community in meaningful activities. Through these links, students are able to develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success in the 21st century.

Partners in Education office:
- CONTACT the Partners in Education office at (858) 668-4030. A representative will be happy to discuss how you can become a partner in education.
- YOU may prefer to have an information packet mailed to you.
- REQUEST a meeting with the Partners in Education office to establish specific interests, resources and needs. This meeting may consist of introducing key players, finding out more about respective programs, touring the school site, department or visiting a program and participating in a brainstorming session.
- DEVELOP a Partnership Agreement. This might include 3-4 goals and activities that are planned to support the goals. (Examples of Partnership Agreements are available.)
- FINALIZE partnership agreement. Each educational partnership agreement is planned for one year and is renewed annually.
- BE supportive of your partnership. Stay in contact with the Partners in Education office. Be sure to inform the Partners in Education office when you have a scheduled event.
- SUBMIT any updates with your partnership to the Partners in Education office. Changes with staff members designated as the "Partner contacts" are especially important. You may also take the opportunity to share the successes of your partnership.
What Does the Program Sponsor?
The annual Partners in Education sponsorship supports the following programs and services for our students:

Please contact the Partners in Education office if you have a special opportunity you’d like us to list, or if you are able to fill one of the areas listed.
Mentors in the Classroom: Business staff interested in mentoring in the classroom in subjects listed below should contact the Partners in Education office. The process requires no more than 30 minutes of phone time with the teacher, and one visit to the classroom to discuss the lesson (approximately 1 to 2 hours). Your knowledge lends relevancy to the lessons the students learn. Subjects include:
