BERNARDO HILLS APARTMENTS
AND
TURTLEBACK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

 

BACKGROUND: Bernardo Hills Apartments is a 248-unit luxury apartment community located directly across the street from Turtleback Elementary.  The property is home to many of the future students, current students, and even graduates of PUSD.  Bernardo Hills Apartments is managed by Reef Funds and opened its doors for business in 1987.  Bernardo Hills has continued to reap the marketing and logistical benefits to being across the street from the school and felt that it would be beneficial to share their appreciation with the students and school.

DESCRIPTION: This partnership is a direct result of the Technological Advisory Task Force.  It was formed to support the continued advancement of the students by assisting them with purchases of the most up-to-date technology for their classrooms.

GOALS:

bullet Strengthen technological advancement at Turtleback School.

bullet Strengthen school, home, and community bonds.

Promoting the business community support of education.

Increase communication between Bernardo Hills Apartments and the school.

Increase involvement in the activities between the school and Bernardo Hills Apartments.

ACTIVITIES:

Provide monetary support toward technological purchases at Turtleback.

Participate in various school wide activities.

bullet

Promote school events and activities at Bernardo Hills Apartments.

bullet

Turtleback School will communicate with the apartments through the Turtleback Tales, newsletters and other forms of communication.

bullet

Provide employee support of the "2-4-6-8 Shopping to Educate" Program.
