BACKGROUND: Apple Computer,
Inc. has been committed to education for more than 25 years. Apple
revolutionized desktop publishing in the 80's and has continued the
revolution with video editing and music creation. Apple continues
to enliven lessons, meet instructional standards and guide children
towards more productive futures with its products and services.
DESCRIPTION: Apple
Computer, Inc. supplies hardware, software, development and training,
technical services consulting, project management, as well as custom
services for its customers. Apple Computer, Inc. has a very large
Education Division that provides all of these resources and more to
schools around the world.
GOALS: From
our relationships with the education community, Apple has learned that
what's important to educators is not what technology can do, but what
teachers and students can achieve with it. Apple's goal for Poway
Unified School District is to provide resources to teachers and students
alike, to prepare them to raise student achievement.
