U.S. History Stamp Project To Commemorate: To celebrate the memory of someone or something by an act of devotion. You will be creating a "stamp" to commemorate a specific item from the 1990s. Your stamp will be on a regular sheet of unlined paper. It must be hand drawn. Feel free to trace. You must perforate the edges (like a stamp). The stamp will cost 41 cents. (A-20) While displaying your stamp, in a 1-2 minute speech, you must explain the significance of your item. Your speech should be about 1 page (250 words) in length and divided into two paragraphs. In the first paragraph you will explain the background of the topic. In the second paragraph you will explain why this should be commemorated on a stamp. In other words, what makes it so special. You must convince the class that your item is worthy of commemoration on a U.S. postage stamp. (A-20) You will present your stamps on Thursday, final exam day. (A-12)
