Next week will begin your online schedule. We meet in class on Thursday (Lab Day) and you will be off roll Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. You will have on line assignments everyday you are off roll.

Lessons

Monday-  In Class- First, your Life Timelines are due today. Next, we will be reviewing the events that led to the  American Revolution and the creation of our Constitution. You will get your maps back so you can use them to study for the quiz tomorrow. You will need to know the location of the states, major geographical features, and other information covered on the map. You may use your map, text book atlas, and your notes from the online lecture to study.
 

Tuesday-In Class-First, we will take a geography quiz based on the work you did with your maps. Next, we will be talking about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as we review the lecture from Monday and finish up our discussions on these topics.

Labday -Off roll- There are two assignments for today. First, you will be reading the background of the  writing of the Declaration of Independence  and then the The Declaration of Independence  . Answer the Declaration of Independence Questions in complete sentences. (2E-20) Submit your answers using Safe Assign* on Learning Point by 7:00 am Friday(08/29).   History Social Science Standards 11.1.1 & 11.1.2

Second, read The Bill of Rights  and then answer the The Bill of Rights Questions in complete sentences . Submit your answers using Safe Assign* on Learning Point by 7:00 am Tuesday (09/02)(3E-20pts)
 

Friday-  After you finish the Bill of Rights questions, you will read your final document for this unit. Start by reading the background for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and then read  the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Finally, answer the Universal Declaration of Human Rights questions. Submit your answers to both sets of questions (Bill of Rights and UDHR) using Safe Assign* on Learning Point by 7:00 am Tuesday (09/02)(4E-20pts) History Social Science Standards 11.1.1 & 11.1.2

*Safe Assign instructions: Go to Mrs. Giffin's Learning Point site and find the "Safe Assignments" button on the left. Click on that and it will take you to a list of assignments that are due using Safe Assign. Click on the assignment you are doing and follow the directions. It will ask you to attach your word document with your answers and submit it.
