Week Of March 23rd Monday- The Cold War was a period where spying was to be expected by both the United States and The Soviet Union. To gain a better appreciation for the era read about the weapons that were used and the ways in which both sides practiced espionage Once you have explored both links answer the following questions. 1- Which weapon gave a spy the greatest chance for concealing and carrying out an assassination? Explain your answer. 2-Which espionage device would be hardest to detect? Why? Bring Hard Copy on Thursday. (P11-15) Tuesday- First, we will begin studying the rise of John F. Kennedy. To provide you with s a little more background on John F. Kennedy, read J.F.K.'s background. Then read pages 670-676 and answer questions 1-4 and 11-13 on page 692. Bring Hard Copy of your answers to me Thursday. (P12-14) Lab Day- We will finish the first phase of the Cold War today and review for the exam next week. Don't forget your textbook!!!! Friday- Using the text you read on Tuesday, and the info sheet on John F. Kennedy, create a timeline of JFK's life achievements including at least 10 events and a short description of each event. You may do some online research and use other web sites that you find on JFK. SAFE ASSIGN your timelines by 9:00 am Monday. (SA12-14)
