Tuesday - Present your foreign Policy similes.

Lab Day- Your MT/ST/CD outline is due today.

Today,  we will focus on the Spanish-American War .  Using CD's from the lecture, answer the following questions in two separate paragraphs.  (A-15) History Social Science Standard 11.4.2

1- How did events in Cuba lead to the Spanish-American War? Be sure to describe at least 2 specific events.

2- Why is the Spanish-American War considered to be a war of imperialism for the United States?

We will also be examining several documents including the Platt Amendment, and a comparison of  The Monroe Doctrine and The Roosevelt Corollary.

After that, we will experience a genuine rarity for 1st semester. We will actually watch a video. The focus is on the building of the Panama Canal. 

Read chapter 10, pages 364-389 in your text book and answer the attached questions and then complete the attached worksheet. Be sure to use complete sentences when answering the chapter questions. Your completed questions are due next Thursday (T-40)  

Friday-  Today I will present a  US foreign policy lecture. I will be describing 3 presidents. For each President, write down the name given to their foreign policy, a description of what that policy is, and provide an example of how the US implemented that policy.  History Social Science Standard -11.4.1 &11.4.2 & 11.4.3 & 11.4.4 (A-21) Use the following format to complete this assignment.
