Lab Day- Today, I will introduce the Radio Broadcast Project and we will create groups. Please select a group contact person who will communicate any concerns or questions to me on behalf of the group.
After I introduce the project we will go over to the library where
you will listen to an original broadcast. Be sure to bring headphones with you. As you listen, you must write a one paragraph plot summary and create a list of characters. (A-15)Friday- We will meet in the library today. When Real Audio begins to play, it shows you the length of the broadcast. Your assignment is to type up the dialogue for the radio broadcast. To accomplish this, divide the time of the broadcast by the number of people in your group. (Example- War of the Worlds is 5:42 If there are 5 people in your group, then each of you would be responsible for 1 minute and 8 seconds of the broadcast.) Now, by first name, alphabetize the members of your group. The group member with the first name closest to the letter A will be responsible for typing up the first 1:08 of dialogue, the next group member is responsible for typing up the dialogue from 1:09- 2:16. Make sure you include the title of your radio program.
You must have a copy of your completed script available for each member of your group as well as to me by Monday. (A-25)
