Monday- click on Harlem Renaissance

~Read each poem carefully and select 2 lines from each of the 10 poems that you feel displays the theme of the poem or somehow celebrates the uniqueness of African-American expression. 

~ Now select a total of 16 lines which come from at least 8 of the  poems and arrange them into a coherent FOUND POEM. You are not allowed to use more than 2 lines from any one poem.

~  Add an interesting, creative title. (A-25)

In order to gain some background, read Chapter 14 of your text, pages 482- 499 and answer the attached questions. (T-40) Your responses are due to me on Friday.

Tuesday- Chapter 13 questions are due today. -Listen to the lecture on Life in the 1920's and answer the critical thinking questions.(A-18) History Social Science Standard 11.5.3 & 11.5.4 & 11.5.6 & 11.5.7

On Lab Day, you will have unit 5 exam on the 1920's.I strongly suggest that you use this Twenties Study Guide to prepare for for your exam.

Lab Day- You will begin the day by  taking your unit 5 exam on the decade of the 1920's. Then, I will introduce the Stock Market Crash and finally we will do an activity called graphing the Great Depression.  History Social Science Standard 11.6.1 & 11.6.2

Friday- We will start today with a lecture on   The Coming Of The Depression. After the lecture, there will be a 10  True/False quiz.
