q   Assignment:  Biotech Tutorials. 
1.  Review the tutorial, Making Insulin. 

skip (What are the 10 steps in making Insulin in bacteria?) 

2.  Review the tutorial, Amplifying, PCR animation. 

skip What are the steps (list at least 6) in amplifying DNA using this method? 

3.  Review the tutorial, Human Identification. 

skip Explain DNA Fingerprinting (short paragraph).  Compare and contrast "the first DNA fingerprints" with today's fingerprinting technique used by the FBI.

q   DNA Basics Quiz (Ch 20) will be given 1-10-06 See below for study hints.
