q   Read and Outline Chapter 18 (first half through p. 368- 376).  Due Wed. 12-12-07.

Genetics Basic Questions
1.  How does one cell become a trillion?
2.  Why do we need haploid cells?
3.  Using this diagram for reference, describe the differences between mitosis and meiosis.
4. What are Punnett Squares for?
5.  What's the standard way of working out what the possible offspring will be?
6.  The article mentions "flavors"--what is the author talking about?
7.  What is the possible genotypes and their percent occurrence when you cross two heterozygous individuals?
8.  What is a dihybrid cross? Try answering the questions in sample.  How many did you get right?
9. Do all the problems on this page.

 q     Do the Fill in the Blank notes in the Lab Book p. 46 (front and back).  The Red Lab book calls this Ch 17, but it is actually CH 18 in your Text book.  Answer the CQS Questions and Questions #1-10 at the end of the notes. Due Wed. 12-12_07.

q    Do Lab Book p. 48 (front and back), 49 (front only-Stop at the Bonus challenge questions). Due Wed. 12-12-07.

Your Infectious Disease website will be due 12-19-07 - Week 15.  You must post your Web address to learningpoint discussion board that week.  You will present your website to the class 1-9-08 -Week 16.
