q   BLOOD & CIRCULATION  Review guide.  You may want to take a look at this now and them again before the semester II midterm.  This would be a good way to see what you know now, and review for the upcoming midterm. This is for your own use, and will not be collected.

q  Read Text book CH 9- pgs 183-187, 190-191 and 194-195.  Do the Fill in the blank notes on LB pages 49 - 50.  Use this document to help you.  due 3-26-08.

q  Do LB p 51 and 53 all. Due 3-26-08. 

q  Lab: Dangers of Smoking and the Influence of Tobacco Companies (LB pg 52): This will be done in class 3-26-08.    Find 2 cigarette advertisements in a magazine or on-line and bring them to class 3-26-08.

• LB p 52:  Find 2 cigarette advertisements in a magazine or on-line and bring them to class 3-26-08. 
• In Class on Wednesday you will be working with a partner and completing the following:
• Write all your answers to the observations, questions, discussion questions, data, conclusion and recommendations on p 52 or your own paper.  Have a discussion with someone about decision making and smoking (DISCUSSION QUESTIONS)  Write down the answers to the questions you discussed.  Use your textbook (p 194) to find out the dangers of smoking.  Conclude by giving your thoughts on why people smoke and what could influence them not to. 

q   Quiz on Respiratory System will be next week 4-2-08.   To review, do the self quiz in the book and  study LB p 51.

If You were absent last Week and missed the Daphnia Lab, you may use the following data to complete the lab.  Due 3-26-08

1.  Read the background information on LB p 42, highlight important terms.

2.  Read the procedure on the back of LB p 42.

3.  Fill in the data table using the following data ONLY IF YOU WERE ABSENT.  IF YOU WERE IN CLASS, USE THE DATA YOU GENERATED.

4.  Find the heart rate per minute for each trial, then average the trials.  Decide if each drug is a stimulant or depressant.

5.  Answer questions 1-5 on the back of pg 42.

6.  Add "Analysis of Errors":  What are some experimental errors that may effect data?  How would these errors effect the data?  Answer this on the back of page 42.
