Blood, Heart and Circulation

q Read the rest of Chapter 7-Sect 7.9-7.15.  Complete the fill in the blanks on LB pg 30.  Use this document to help you.

q Know the Components of blood (cell types and functions)

q   Complete LB pgs 43 - 46. Color veins blue and arteries red.  Due 3/19

q   Read Lab Book pages 47-48. Be sure to read p 47 thoroughly.  We will complete these pages in class using the microscope and slides.  You can pre-view the slides by checking out the Virtual Microscope.

q   Quiz given 3/19 on: Flow of blood through the heart/pulmonary and systemic circuits/back to the heart (Section 7.7 in your textbook). View the animation to see your blood flow and  Do this quiz to help you study.  

q Labs:  Blood Typing Lab is due today 3-19-08.  (We did this lab last week)

     *Go to this link: Blood Typing Game and see if you can save the 3 patients.  After doing

      the Blood typing lab (in class last week), hopefully you will be able to give each 

      patient the correct type of blood and save them.  (This is just for fun...nothing to

       turn in on this).

q We will be doing the LB pg. 41-42  Effects of Drugs on Daphnia Lab --  Read background information and the procedure on LB pg. 41.  

q Discussion Board Question:  Go to learningpoint- answer the Week 7 Semester II discussion question.
