This is the kind of propoganda that Stalin fed to the people of Russia during the Russian Revolution in a newspaper known as "Pravda", meaning, "the truth". All Pravda contained was a bunch of lies to convince citizens they were far better off than they throught, despite the fact that many were starving.

(Week 1 of Senior speeches begins THIS week, make sure you're prepared!) WE WILL MEET ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 23RD THIS WEEK ONLY DUE TO STAR TESTING: 82 MINUTE CLASSES. WE MEET FROM 9:21 - 10:43 A.M. Due THIS lab day: 7 senior speeches. The rubric for the speeches is at the bottom of this page. A 1-page report on the living conditions in Oceania is also due. Be sure it is PRINTED before class. If you have AP testing, email it before class, or stop by before class. In-Class: We will begin with those people presenting their speeches first. Be prepared for a test on what you have read so far. Assignments: Continue preparing your senior speech, if you are due in the next 2 weeks. The list is once again, below. Please be sure you are here on the date assigned. Failure to show will result in an automatic loss of 25% of the grade. Continue reading the novel, 1984 up to page 185. Please TYPE up a page explaining how Winston and Julia begin their relationship. Why is their relationship so dangerous? How are they even able to sustain a romance, and what steps do they take to make sure they do not get caught?
