Above: The Famous White Cliffs of Dover

Above: Brighton Beach

Above: Edinburgh Castle

Above: London's Piccadilly Circus

Above: Swindon's famous "magic roundabout". Most American tourists avoid this area like the plague. Can you even figure out how it works? It's comprised of one large roundabout with five inner roundabouts. Yield to all oncoming traffic within the circles, no stopping and good luck!

Above: Newcastle on a beautiful British day

Go for a cruise around London in a traditional double-decker bus.

Above: The Isle of White. This small island can be seen when one takes the ferry from Dover, England, to Calais, France. People do live on it, but there is little to do there. One of the activities is a bike race arouond the island.

Monday March 17th- Friday March 21st

Due THIS lab day: Virtual Power Point tour of a city in England.  ALL presentations must be ready and in class on this date. Failure to have your Power Point ready will result in an automatic loss of 20 points per day late. (This is a 100-point assignment). Be sure to have it backed up on the network, a Web-based email and a jump drive to ensure your presentation will work. The more back-ups the less chance of your work malfunctioning.

In-Class: Presentations of the city you are working on. We will move through as many presentations in class as possible.

Assignments: Take notes regarding what you learned about each city in class, then TYPE up a report in bullet form, that highlights the five main points you learned about each city. This will be due the week after we complete ALL presentations. We will look at ALL of these presentations, so please be prepared!

For those of you lucky enough to not go the first week of presentations, be sure your Power Point is ready for next week.
