Power Point Information:  As we now move into the 20th century, your next task is to make a Power Point presentation in regards to a certain city you will be assigned. The idea behind this project is to give everyone in the class a virtual tour of the cities in England, along with showing your audience the history of the town, taking them into the present day. This is a group project of 2 people maximum. After being given your city, you must make a presentation, which will explain the following points:

  •      Where is the city located? Use a map and show what other cities it is close to.

  •      What is this city famous for?

  •      What is there to do in this city? Show some images that detail the town.

  •      What is the history behind this town? Did any famous people live here, die here, etc.?

  •      What are some of the recent events going on in this town?

  •      What is your overall impression of the town?

  •      Be sure to add as many details as you can about the city, what makes it fun/ boring, etc. You may have to visit the town's local newspaper on the Web to get a better impression of what really goes on there.

Here are the requirements:

  •     A complete  Power Point presentation outlining the above details.

  •     Minimum of ten graphics

  •     Cue cards can be used, but NO information should be read off the screen.

  •     Information should be paraphrased in your own words, NOT copied and pasted!

  •     Include all bibliography used in your last slide

  •     Must have introduction and closure

  •     Power Point: ten slides minimum,

  •     Presenters should be prepared to give their information

You will have one week to prepare for this project. Be ready to present next week!

Good luck!
