Monday October 20th-Friday October 24th Introduction to Hamlet & Renaissance Due THIS lab day: Renaissance history, your sonnet (in perfect format) and reading of Act I of Hamlet. Your sonnet TYPED. (Should be 14 lines, ab, ab format with 10 syllables per line). Don't forget to include your name in the sonnet. Not just on the page, but IN the poem itself. That way I'm certain you wrote it. In-Class: Continuation of the play. We will go over Act I, do a study-guide questionnaire with a partner and hopefully get into Act II also. Test on the Renaissance. Assignments: Complete reading Acts II & III in preparation for a test. TYPE up a one-page response that explains how Hamlet is personally effected by the discovery of his father's murder. What are some of the examples of his strange behavior? Due by next lab day. Study these latin roots for a quiz NEXT lab day:
Extra credit! Finally, bring that grade up to an additional 50 points by choosing from one of the projects listed here. The better your project and the more effort put into it, the higher the points will be. Look at the assignments for how many points each is worth. Sorry, only one project per person. These are due NOVEMBER 19TH, NO EXTENSIONS!!!! Links: Summary on Shakespeare A Mt. Carmel student-made Thinkquest about Macbeth Comedic Movie of Macbeth (Requires Quick Time)
