Mrs. Robinson is presently an assistant principal at Westview
High School, a position she has held for the past three years. Mrs. Robinson
previously served as the assistant principal of Chaparral Elementary School, and was
also a teacher on special assignment at Poway High School.
Mrs. Robinson came to Poway Unified in 1991 to teach sixth grade
at Twin Peaks Middle School, where she was a mentor teacher and a presenter at state
and national conferences. She earned a Master of Arts degree from University of
California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Biola University.
Park Village Elementary School Co-Principal - Ricardo Ceceña
Mr. Ceceña has been serving as teacher on special assignment at
Park Village since 2003, assisting the principal with administrative responsibilities.
He taught grades 2-3 and was the English Language Learner coordinator at Turtleback
Elementary School in the Poway Unified School District. Mr. Ceceña was Turtleback
Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2001. Before coming to Poway, he was a bilingual
teacher in grades 2-3 in Chollas Elementary School in San Diego City Schools. He has a
Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from San Diego State University and will
complete his Master of Arts degree in Education from Alliant International University
this month.
Park Village Elementary School Co-Principal - Rebecca Wardlow
Mrs. Wardlow is presently the principal of Creekside Elementary
School, a position she has held since the school opened in 2000. Previous to that,
Mrs. Wardlow was principal of Valley Elementary School for six years, and assistant
principal at Westwood and Canyon View elementary schools. She came to Poway Unified in
1989 and taught first grade at Painted Rock Elementary School for two years, fourth
grade at Deer Canyon Elementary School, and fifth grade at Painted Rock Elementary
School.
Mrs. Wardlow will be at Park Village until she assumes the
principalship of the school district’s newest elementary school, Monterey Ridge,
which is scheduled to open in August, 2006.
Mrs. Wardlow is pursuing her doctoral degree at the University
of California, San Diego. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Education
Administration from the University of California, Riverside, and holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in psychology from San Diego State University.
Sunset Hills Elementary School Principal - Patricia Jones
Mrs. Jones is presently the principal of Campo Elementary School
in the Mountain Empire School District, a position she has held since 2003. Previous
to that she was an assistant principal at Central Elementary School and Berry
Elementary School in the South Bay Union School District. She also taught grades 2, 3,
and 4 at Vail Elementary School in Temecula and kindergarten, and grades 1, 2, and 3
at the Warrington and Caro Elementary schools in Pensacola, Florida. She has been a
presenter at the California State Science Teachers Association state conferences, the
state GATE conference, and participated in the California School Leadership Academy.
