Building
for Success Program
The
Building for Success Program, authorized under the passage of Proposition U, includes modernization and expansion of
16 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, and one continuation
high school in the Poway Unified School District. Some of the key aspects of the program
are to optimize state school facilities program funds, minimize learning disruption, and
maintain safety and quality standards.
Midland Elementary
School, Westwood Elementary School, Mt. Carmel High School,
and Poway High School comprise the first group of schools to be renovated
and expanded and designs are currently underway. The modernization and new construction
program is comprised of five groups
of schools during the next nine years.
