OVMS Science Olympiad State Champions Going to Nationals!
Science Olympiad (https://www.soinc.org) is the largest and most competitive STEM event in the United States. 7600 middle and high school teams from 50 states compete in this event. Getting to compete in the nationals competition is a really big deal especially out of California. In order to get to the nationals, teams first compete in their ‘regional’ area. 6 to 8 teams from the ‘regional’ area get to compete in a ‘state’ competition. 1 team from the state competition goes to the national competition. San Diego regionals is the largest represented Science Olympiad event in the nation with 120 teams. Southern California is fiercely competitive (traditionally taking the division C or high school national title). We are looking for donations to fund the team for the Nationals competition. You can make a GoFundMe donation today (https://www.gofundme.com/OVMSSONationalTeam) or make a tax deductible contribution the Oak Valley Foundation (Link is also under the Sci. Oly. Banner).
