  •   Testing

This week testing will primarily occur on Tuesday, Weds, Thursday.  However, many grade levels are also doing MAPs testing this week.  Please check with your child’s teacher for specifics.   In order to support student achievement access to campus will be highly restricted during testing days.  We want all of our students to be relaxed, focused, and prepared.  What we can do as a community to support them is to have minimal interruptions to their preparation and testing sessions.   Students who are ill during testing will have opportunities to make-up the testing - so please be thoughtful about sending your student to school if they are under the weather - we want them to be healthy and do their best.   Volunteering during testing - we have greatly appreciated all the volunteering time you have given to the classrooms and programs this year.  The restricted access is only on testing days (T, W, Th)  from 8 - 10.  However, classes testing will likely have extended time without volunteers.   TK - second grade is not participating in SBAC testing.  However, to honor the hard work the 3rd - 5th grade students are doing, campus access will be restricted in those grades as well.   Thank you for understanding that we are ONE TEAM . . . and the success of our 3rd - 5th grade students reflects on the entire student body and school.  Please help us support them.

  •   Late Item Drop Off

We are noticing an excessive number of classroom interruptions due to items being dropped off for students.  These items include everything from band instruments, reading books, homework to lunches. Teachers are asking if all families will begin to take steps to ensure students have what they need before being dropped off.  We will soon be starting our testing period and will not be able to interrupt classes for any reason.   Please help us honor this valuable time.

  •   School Testing is Coming Soon

Testing is coming soon to Westwood. MAPS and State testing will start after our Spring Break. Please wait for your student's teacher to give out information on their class testing. In that time of testing we ask parents to try and avoid dropping late items off in the office. To help students do their best in the tests we will be unable to call and interrupt the class.
