Pomerado Elementary School was built in 1960. 

Projects planned at Pomerado include:

• Utility upgrade/efficiency improvements
• Renovate/upgrade restrooms as needed
• Modify/expand/renovate library
• Modernize classrooms, such as lighting, power/data, flooring, and marker boards
• Renovate/expand staff work area
• Add/renovate computer laboratory
• ADA upgrades/compliance
• Food service area expansion/renovation, including new covered lunch area
• Site/playground improvements for code and safety compliance
• Add/upgrade furniture and instructional equipment
• Upgrade/replace communications and fire alarm systems
