EMPLOYMENT

The Poway Unified School District is now accepting applications for (on call) substitutes in the Food and Nutrition Department.  Substitutes must:

• Be able to read, write, compute, and apply basic mathematical calculations

• Be available to work at any location on an on-call basis (mostly midday hours) from two (2) to three (hours, depending on assignment.

• Be willing to learn and follow policies and procedures of the Food and Nutrition Department.

• Provide general clean up.

• Provide dish and pan washing at any District facility.

• Help prepare and serve meals at any school site.

• Work initially as on-call substitutes, but may lead to a part-time permanent job.

• Be able to relate effectively with staff, students, and the public.

• Call the Personnel Commission at (858)679-2545.

• Pick up an application from the Personnel Commision office at 13626 Twin Peaks Road, Poway, CA in the Administration Center.

• All applicants must pass a written test, physical examination, and a criminal record check (be fingerprinted).

• Must possess a Social Security Card and a state-recognized photo identification.
