The ISS department is happy to
announce the re-establishment of publishing a newsletter bi-monthly. The goal of
this newsletter is to keep all the PUSD staff members aware of ISS activities and to
assist our users in their work related duties.
The first 2003/2004 newsletter will feature the changes
taking place on Learning Point, the data security audit performed this past summer on PUSD
networks, helpful hints to support SASI users and Stacey Campo's training
schedule. As a staff, we want to make this newsletter a tool to support our

 There were no great surprises in the security audit performed by Farm9.
This company tests application access, as well as overall network security. Their
suggestions have already been evaluated by ISS and Technology Support Services (TSS) staff
and changes made.
Our focus is the support
of the Human Resources and Budget Departments. We develop tools that
will assist them in efficiently tracking budgets for the sites and reporting
budget changes to the Board of Education in compliance with the new Core Staffing
Procedures. These tools will assist in future decision making.
