Practice Information
First practice is Monday, November
16, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. on the JV Baseball field for all
players other than returning varsity and seniors.
Returning varsity and seniors practice from 5:00-7:00
p.m. at Black Mountain Ranch Park.

Tryout Information
Girls
interested in trying out for the soccer team should
attend the pre-season meeting on Tuesday, 10/20/09 at
lunch in room L117.
2009 CIF SoCal Regional
Playoffs
As the 2009 Division 1 Champion of the CIF San Diego Section,
Westview advanced to the CIF SoCal Regional
Championships.
In the regional quarterfinals, Tuesday, March 10,
Westview defeated CIF Southern Section champion Sultana
HS in PK’s, 3-2.
Next, the girls played in the semifinals on Thursday,
March 12. They hosted the visiting Buchanan High School
team from Clovis which came in with a record of
25-3-2. The game ended 2-2 after a hard fought 80
minutes of regulation. During the 15 minute “sudden
death” overtime, Westview put a lot of pressure on the
Buchanan defense, but were unable to put one in the net,
so the game went to Penalty Kicks. Buchanan ultimately
prevailed in PK’s, 4-2.

2009 CIF Division 1
Champions!!
 Congratulations
to the Varsity Girls Soccer Team, CIF CHAMPIONS in their
first year playing
in Division 1. Our girls beat 3-time defending CIF D1
champion Torrey Pines. It was a hard fought and
exciting final. After a scoreless regulation and OT,
the Westview Girls prevailed in PK’s, 3-2.
Divisions don't matter as Westview is still champion
by North County Times
