Back-to-School Night
Donations
The Westview Foundation would like to thank all parents who
made donations at Back-to-School Night. Through your generosity,
the Foundation raised approximately $26,000. Donations are still
being accepted. Please make checks payable to the "Westview
Foundation".
2009-2010 Officers
Congratulations to the following new officers for 2009-10:
Raising Money for Continued Excellence
With the various budget cuts, especially in the state of
California, we are looking to raise funds to provide Westview
with the following:
1. Additional Technology
●
Additional LCD projectors.
●
Repair or replacement of existing LCD projectors.
●
Replacement bulbs and other supplies.
2. Library Funding
●
Staffing for extended library hours.
●
Updating library collection.
3. Ongoing professional training for staff so that
they stay
current in their disciplines as well
as continue to grow
in the art/science of teaching.
4. Instructional supplies for teachers and
classrooms.
5. Additional custodial and secretarial positions
during
peak times.
In order to raise the needed funds, the Westview Foundation is
asking for a donation of $250 per student, or $400 for families
with more than one student at Westview.
The Westview Foundation wishes to thank you for your generosity
and continuing support of Westview and your generous gifts to
the Westview Foundation. We also wish to remind you that even
with the severe budget cuts we are experiencing, your children
will receive a good education at Westview, but with your support
your children will receive an excellent education to which we
have become accustomed.
