I look
forward to and exciting year and to be part of a school community so rich with tradition and
a staff who is dedicated to the success of every child.
Shoal Creek’s mission statement affirms this commitment to
students, “Every student will have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills,
and attitudes needed to develop a positive self worth, make informed
choices, function effectively in a diverse society, and become
self-sufficient, independent learners.” As we work together this year, I want to stress the importance you play in your child’s education. You are a vital member of our school community and your involvement will make a difference. Setting high expectations for your child sends a message about the importance of education. Making sure your child comes to school on time every day sets the stage for academic achievement. Making sure your child completes homework and reads every night helps your child succeed.
