As you enter our front gate this mural, painted by Jeremy Harris as his Eagle Scout Project,  immediately catches your eye.

Jeremy (class of 2004), an accomplished art student at Rancho Bernardo High School, designed the mural to represent the mountain region of California.  With the help of several friends AND several months he drew and painted his creation on the inner quad wall, completing the project in the summer of 2003.

Look at the fine detail in Jeremy's work.

Artist and parent Carla Harris (no relation to Jeremy) is creating the murals that will cover the other 3 inner quad walls representing the ocean, desert, and valley regions of California.  As these murals begin to take shape Mrs. Harris will be taking suggestions from students, staff, and parents about what should be represented on the murals.  Work was started in the early spring of 2003.  Completion is expected some time this school year ~ depending on the weather.

With two sons at Rolling Hills since kindergarten, Mrs. Harris has logged many volunteer hours supporting the students and staff at Rolling Hills and we appreciate her time and efforts on this project.  Please return often to check on her progress.

In addition to the beautiful murals, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have spent countless hours volunteering their time to establish and maintain a butterfly garden in the inner  quad area near rooms 7 and 8.
