Prepayment via credit card:
The Food and Nutrition Department is pleased to introduce an exciting
new service for school meal prepayments. Effective immediately, parents
of students can log onto
www.myLunchMoney.com
and prepay for their child’s meals using their Visa or MasterCard. The
charge for this service is a flat fee of $1.95 per credit card
transaction regardless of the amount paid. Parents can also call a toll
free number with questions, or to enroll over the phone, at
1-800-479-3531. We will be providing each school with flyers that can be
used to notify parents.
The online account allows parents to view
their child’s balance and make payments any time of day. Parents can
also set up “one-time” or recurring prepayment transactions. In a future
upgrade, parents will be able to view their child’s meal purchases and
spending history, set limits for meal purchases, and view nutritional
content of their child’s meals.

Technology Plan
Technology-assisted
instruction at Pomerado Elementary School is implemented with the goal of assisting
students in mastering or expanding proficiency of grade level standards in all curricular
areas. The ability to manage technology for
the purposes of communication and problem solving are also integral to the enhanced
quality of our students educational experience.

Character Counts
The
purpose of the CHARACTER COUNTS! is to fortify the lives of America’s
young people with consensus ethical values called the
“Six Pillars of Character.” These values,
which transcend divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth,
are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility,
fairness, caring and citizenship.
CHARACTER COUNTS! and the
Six Pillars of Character are service marks of the CHARACTER COUNTS!
Coalition, a project of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.

Student Emergency Release
Plan
If we have an
emergency here at school where all students need to be picked up from
school, here are some tips for parents during the student release
process:
-
Parents should
park along Pomerado Road and walk up
9th Street
to the upper parking lot.
-
All gates and
doors will be locked until attendance is complete.
-
The gate to the
ramp will opened when the students are ready to be released to
parents or other authorized adult.
-
Student release
tables will be set up on the playground next to ESS or at the top of
the ramp.
Staff will be recording the name of who the student is released to, so
please notify the office of any changes to your family registration
information. We can only release your child to adults you have listed
on your emergency release form.
The student release process will take time and we will work as fast as
possible. Please realize that everyone’s safety is our main concern, so
we will appreciate your patience. |
