2^nd GRADE SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Dear Parents,

 Each grade level has come up with a list of recommended supplies for the 2008-2009 school year.  As you begin to shop for school supplies at the end of the summer break, please consult this list to ensure your child has the proper supplies to begin the new school year.

          2^nd Grade School Supplies

·      1 ½ “ white View Finder 3-ring binder

·      1 bottle of Elmer's school glue

·       4 JUMBO glue sticks – Please, no purple colored glue

·       1 pair of Fiskars scissors (labeled with child's name)

·       4 12-packs of Ticonderoga #2 pencils (no Eagle, Papermate or “designer brand” pencils) Please, no mechanical    pencils

·       1 box colored pencils (24 colors)

·       1 box of crayons (24 colors)

·       1 ream WHITE Xerox paper

·       1 ream any color Xerox paper

·       1 large box of tissues

·       White board markers – must be Expo 2 brand -1 package of black, 1      package of assorted colors.  Please, no skinny markers.

·       1 package pink pearl erasers - No pencil top erasers please

·       1 container of disinfecting wipes

·       1 container of baby wipes

·       Office Depot gift cards (to purchase printer ink cartridges)

Please do not bring notebooks or pencil boxes!

    If you prefer, we can always use gift cards to help purchase supplies for the class.  Suggested stores include:  Staples, Office Depot, A+Teaching Supplies, Walmart, Target, Costco, Michael's

 All of these items are being donated to our classroom “community” and will be shared among students throughout the year (except scissors).
