Reflections 2009/10: “Beauty is…”

It is time for the annual PTA Reflections! All students can participate in this art contest. The theme this year is “Beauty is…”. What does that mean to you? Express yourself in creating an artwork in any of the following categories:

 -         Visual Arts (painting, drawing, collage…)

-         Photography

-         Literature

-         Musical Composition

-         Dance Choreography

-         Film Production

 Participation Rules:

1. Each piece has to be an original work created by one student and for this contest. It has to be accompanied by the Entry Form which will be handed out to each student in school.

2. Each entry must include an Artistic Statement that explains how the artwork relates to the theme “Beauty is…”.

3. Each artwork has to be created following the Category Rules for its category (e.g. max 24 “ x 30 “ for visual arts).

 Deadline: October 26, 2009 

All artwork will be exhibited at an Awards Ceremony at Midland where each student receives a beautiful ribbon. Independent judges will determine which pieces move on to the next level which is the Council level (Palomar Council).
