Volunteers are always welcomed on our campus.
There are numerous ways that volunteers can get involved.

Are you looking for a no-hassle way to volunteer?

bullet VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:   Whether you want to help one hour or one hundred hours this year - sign up to receive Meadowbrook's "Volunteer Opportunities Email!"   You will receive occasional emails throughout the year listing volunteer opportunities; you can pick-and-choose as your schedule dictates -- no further obligation!

Just wondering...

When the kids are back in school, do you find yourself with some extra time on your hands? 
Meadowbrook has many volunteer opportunities available, even if you only have an hour or
two to spare. Where ever your interests lie, there is a job for you!

 Some possibilities are:   Making photocopies, shelving library books, creating posters or bulletin boards, alphabetizing forms, assisting with fundraisers, assisting with school pictures, assisting in classrooms, laminating, counting box tops, passing out honor roll awards, chaperoning dances, and many more!

 VOLUNTEER SIGN IN IS LOCATED IN THE TEACHER'S WORKROOM - all volunteers must sign in prior to starting their duties. 

TB Tests:  Our district provides FREE TB Tests for volunteers - contact the Volunteer Coordinator for dates.  All volunteers MUST have a current test on file in order to work at the school.  "Current" means completed within the last four years.

The test is a two-step process:

Step one (on the first day) Obtain the skin test

Step two (on two days later) Reading of the skin test

bullet

You must complete both steps for the test to be valid.

 

 BEFORE you go to get your test, stop by the Meadowbrook Office to pick up a  "Volunteer Verification Form"  Test results are good for 4 years.

 

The tests for this school year 2006-2007 are as follows:

 

9/12 and 9/14        8:30-9:30            Los Pen Elementary

9/13 and 9/15        8:30-9:30            Chaparral Elementary

9/19 and 9/21        6:30-7:30            Abraxas High  (evening clinic)

9/27 and 9/29        6:30-7:30            Oak Valley Middle School (evening clinic)

10/11 and 10/13    2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

11/15 and 11/17    2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

12/13 and 12/15    2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

1/17 and 1/19        2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

2/14 and 2/16        2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

3/14 and 3/16        2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

4/11 and 4/13        2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

5/16 and 5/18        2:45-3:45            Abraxas High

Megan's Law:  All volunteers must be cleared through the Megan's Law database prior to volunteering.  Please fill out the attached form and turn in at the Meadowbrook Office.
