Principal's Message

I would like to start by thanking all of our wonderful and incredibly dedicated staff and parents who have assisted in registering and enrolling over 1200 students over the past few weeks.  As you can imagine, correctly placing each student into our available classes is a complicated process. 

I sure am glad you have taken time to visit our website.  Here you will find helpful information including aspects of our academic and extra-curricular programming. 

As a California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon school, we believe you will experience a first-class educational environment.   Being designated a Blue Ribbon school is evidence that our staff provides students with an outstanding standards-based educational experiences in all content areas.  As a 6-8th grade middle school we work to help our sixth grade students to transition to a more rigorous curriculum by providing them with the support necessary to begin changing teachers, adjust to locker rooms in PE, select electives, go to camp, and learn organizational skills.  Our village format has students assigned to a set of “cohort” teachers who get know each student.    

And now, with our completely modernized campus, we can offer a technologically rich learning environment along with our strong sense of community.
