New Student Enrollment Information

KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT
Begins:        Thursday, May 13th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Ongoing:      Friday, May 14th thru Wednesday, June 16th from
                      9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


Your child must be five years of age on or before December 2, 2010 to be eligible for Kindergarten in the state of California.

To register your child for Kindergarten, please bring a birth certificate, up-to-date immunizations, and 2 proofs of residency to the Del Sur office. Enrollment packets will not be accepted unless the entire packet is complete. Enrollment forms are available on the PUSD website www.powayusd.com/enrollment/ or your may stop by the school office to pick up a packet. Upon completion, you will receive a Kindergarten readiness packet for your student. Kindergarten families will receive information in August which will indicate your child’s teacher, room number and schedule.
We are hoping to once again offer a PEPP class in addition to the Kindergarten classes. Enrollment dates and requirements for PEPP will be the same as Kindergarten. More information about the PEPP program can be found on the District PEPP website. A PEPP parent meeting will take place on March 18th at Painted Rock Elementary School. Please meet in the MPR at 6:30pm. If you are interested in Del Sur PEPP and do not live within the Del Sur boundaries, email ndannhauser@powayusd.com

Kindergarten Parent Orientation and Teddy Bear Tea Party
On Thursday, May 27, our kindergarten classes would like to welcome you to a parent orientation meeting at 2:00pm. On Tuesday, August 24th we invite you to bring your student to our “Teddy Bear Tea Party” at 12:00pm.

ENROLLMENT FOR GRADES 1-5
New student enrollment for grades 1-5 will take place daily from 9:00am to 12:00pm beginning Friday, May 14th. A birth certificate, up-to-date immunizations, and 2 proofs of residency are required. Oral Health and Physical forms are also required for students entering grade 1. Enrollment forms are available on the PUSD website www.powayusd.com/enrollment/ or you may stop by the school office to pick up a packet.

New Student Orientation
Mr. Johnson would like to invite all new students in grades 1-5 and their parents to attend a student orientation meeting on Tuesday, August 24th at 6:30pm.

The first day of school will be on Thursday, August 26, 2010.
