KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION

Kindergarten Enrollment will be Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  
Additional enrollments will be accepted May 18th through June 5th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and June 15th through 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, June 4th from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
There will be an Orientation Meeting for the parents of incoming Kindergarteners in the Multi-Purpose Room.

August 19th from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
There will be a Kindergarten “Meet the Teacher” Open House for parents and new Kindergarteners.

Kindergarten Enrollment Information
There will be a limited number of spaces at Deer Canyon Elementary in Kindergarten for 2009. To insure your child’s enrollment, please turn in completed registration forms by June 26th, 2009.   Please do not wait until August to turn in your completed enrollment packets. All enrollment received prior to the close of school (June 26th) are guaranteed placement. Those returned in August will be placed if space is available.

K/1 Multiage Class Requests
Depending on the enrollment numbers, we may have a K/1 Multiage class. Students appropriate for a multiage class are usually more independent and are typically older with two or more years of preschool. You may indicate on the Deer Canyon Elementary School Information form if you want your child considered for one of approximately ten (10) spaces which may exist in this class.
