Parent/Teacher Conferences
All next week, November 16-20, school will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. for
parent/teacher conferences. Please be sure to mark your
calendars and make arrangements for your children to be picked up at 12:45.
The school office will be open to parents until 1:30 p.m. this week.
*lunch will still be served this week at adjusted times.

The week of November 23-27, school and ESS will be closed for district recess. Have a wonderful holiday!

Make-up Day
Make-up day will be on Tuesday, December 1. Pre-k students must come at 8:40 a.m., all other grades will be called to MPR after school begins with K starting first.
GATE testing ~ GATE testing will be held in the week of
January 11-14. Request submission window is Oct 1 - Nov 30,
2009. Please complete the GATE request/Questionnaire online if possible, as
the district office is quite short handed.

Holiday Boutique Vendors Needed!
Got a home-based business? Have goods to sell? Want to reach more customers? It’s not too late to rent a booth at Creekside’s Holiday Boutique to be held December 8th from 6-8pm. Your goods and services will help other families finish holiday shopping in a timely manner. We’ll be in the MPR while the book fair is up behind the stage. Click here to get more information.
The
Art Tile Project Needs You
Hello Creekside Families, as many of you know, the Creekside memory tile
project is well on its way to completion. The students have had a blast
decorating and painting their own individual tiles.
At
this point, we need a volunteer to install the finished tiles on the wall.
Do you have experience in tile setting or installation, or do you know
someone who does? All materials (grout, etc.) would be provided by the PTA -
all we need is you!! We would so appreciate your support!!! Please email

help.

Character Counts Food Drive ~ T
he
Creekside Thanksgiving Food Drive is underway!! Please bring in your
non-perishable food items to your children's classrooms until November 20.
The food drive will help stock the shelves of the Miramar Food Locker and
there will a PRIZE for the classroom that collects the most food items!!
Popular food items include cereal, small boxes of sugar, pancake mix, jello,
cake mix, juice, canned chicken, soup, and hamburger or tuna helper (no
glass please). Paper towels, napkins, and diapers are also appreciated!
As of November 12, we have collected 2607 items and the top three classrooms
are:
B6: 493 Items, C8: 201 Items, and C7: 177 Items
Angel Tree ~ PTA’s annual Angel Tree is hung. We have
adopted 10 families in need from our community this holiday season. Please
stop by and select an “angel” off the tree with an item from one of the
families’ wish lists. Please return unwrapped gift by Wednesday, Dec. 2nd
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Before and After School Supervision
The playground will be open to students in the morning beginning at 8:40 A.M. No supervision will be provided before 8:40 A.M. so students should not arrive at school before this time. Once students arrive, they may not leave unless a parent or other authorized person comes to the office to sign them out. To ensure the safety of our children, you will be required to show identification when you pick up your child. Supervision after school occurs at the two front parking lots and the back gate. Please pick up your child by 3:40 P.M.. ESS is not responsible for the supervision of your child after school on the playground unless you are paying/accessing their services.
Extended Student Services (ESS)
Creekside provides an ESS program, which is a fee based before and after school childcare program. ESS is open from 6:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. All students planning to participate in ESS must be registered at our ESS building. Please call our coordinator, Donnie Kirchmeier at 858-679-9601, for information regarding registration and fees.
