For insurance purposes and legal reasons, the District must know whether your event is school-sponsored, or private. School-sponsored means it is approved by the principal as part of the school's academic program (curricular or extracurricular) and is within your job description. Private refers to activities initiated by individual employees acting in their personal capacity, even though students may be involved. Care must be taken to maintain a clear distinction between these two kinds of activities. For a
