Text Box: Abraxas Counselors
Student counselors are assigned by last name as follows:
A—L      George Pantano
M—Z     Veronica Flores
Any question you have regarding your student’s progress should still be directed to their homeroom teacher.  George and Veronica will be happy to assist you in all other matters.
It is always better to call and set up an appointment to see your counselor whenever necessary.

Text Box: IS TRANSPORTATION TO SCHOOL A CHALLENGE FOR YOU?
If you live a distance away from Abraxas and the transit does not come near your community please let us know.  We would need to know your name, and the community. If we gather 10 or more names for a particular area we can petition the district for a school for a school bus.

Text Box: *THE  BRIDGE PROGRAM*
This is an exciting program that will give students the opportunity to earn both college and high school credits. The Bridge program is designed for motivated students who will be seeking higher education through our local community colleges. They will receive support from Abraxas to meet the goals of their college courses as they progress towards graduation.
How can YOU qualify for BRIDGE?
My goal is to attend community college either during or after high school.
I will be a June graduate with 2-6 classes from graduation.
I am 12 classes away from graduation and highly motivated in attending community college after Abraxas.
* If the above requirements apply to you, please stop by to see your counselor.

Text Box: California Student Survey
In the coming weeks, your son or daughter will be bringing home the “California Student Survey” permission form.  This important survey is used by the state to develop and fund programs to help students and families.  The survey examines student attitudes and behavior toward alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, school assts, violence and safety.  It is anonymous, voluntary and confidential.  Please help us by filling out and returning the survey with your student so we can fund the best and most helpful programs for you and your student.
