Tuesday December 4th students had the opportunity to participate in the  S.A.G.A. field trip to Camp Matague in Santa Ysabel. S.A.G.A. is the Sheriff’s Adolescent Group Adventure Ropes Course. Nineteen students and five staff members  spent the day on the “ropes”. Thank you to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department and Juvenile Detective Chris Johnson for supporting Abraxas by offering this opportunity to our students. This opportunity is funded in part, from Project TAT, a USDOE Grant to Reduce Alcohol Abuse, Alliance HealthCare Foundation and Saxton Family Foundation.

Fire Storm 2007
As many of you already know, several of our Abraxas Students and district employees were severely impacted by the Fire Storm 2007. Abraxas students wanted to help out. Bob Lutticken asked for volunteers from Abraxas and many students and staff eagerly signed up. Staff and students worked to help with cleanup and debris removal. There was a lot of fire debris and melted stuff to be collected and removed. It was downright dirty work! Thanks to you all for helping. We love you!

Text Box: Cards for the Troops
Thank you to Barbara Harris and Christina Bagdazian from Pomerado Christian Church for providing the opportunity and supplies to students to make the Cards for the Troops this year.  We all had a great time!
