Student Alliance For  Education  (S.A.F.E. Center) hosted the following events for students during Red Ribbon Week.

Our theme this year was “Lei Off Drugs”.   Monday – Friday Events included

A Door Decorating Contest started off our week of events. This was a Hawaiian theme with students receiving lei’s instead of red ribbons. The door decorating contest was judged on most colorful, best gets the message across and most creative. Congratulations to Robert Saxton’s Homeroom. The winning homeroom received a pizza party. Everyone wore their Hawaiian attire during this week long celebration.  The winning homeroom was announced during the assembly.

All students and staff received an ABRAXAS S.A.F.E. CENTER Bracelet. All PUSD Board Members and Administrators also received a lei and bracelet to show their support of Abraxas and the S.A.F.E. Center at the monthly School Board Meeting.

The clean and sober motorcycle group “The Pioneers”  rode their bikes onto campus during our morning assembly. They  made presentations regarding how to have fun while staying clean and sober. This was be a wonderful event and all district representatives and board members were invited to attend.

Friday was Luau Day- All students came dressed Hawaiian and wore their lei’s. The S.A.F.E. center hosted a pizza party for the winning “Door Decorating Contest” homeroom.  DJ Al played Hawaiian music for the limbo contest for students. Congrats to Aaron Smith and Divine Villafuerte, the ABX Limbo King and Queen.
