The Positive Parenting Program is a series of three classes offered through Jewish Family Services. The course is FREE and there is FREE childcare available.

challenge. “Active Parenting of
Teens’ is a highly
successful program
that helps parents meet the challenges of
parenting teens and preteens in today’s
turbulent society. Parents will learn the skills
they need to communicate effectively with their
teens, encourage better behavior, use positive
discipline techniques, and teach responsibility.
“Active Parenting of Teens”, presented by Laurie Wong, is a Michael Popkin, Ph.D. series which includes video, interactive discussion, and practical solutions. Cost for the four-session series is $54 for one parent, $84 for couples, includes $15 for the "Active Parenting" book.
You will learn:
- Talk with your adolescent about violence, sex, alcohol and other drugs
- Solve problems together
- Reinforce your adolescent’s courage and inner strength
- Build your adolescent’s sense of responsibility
- Communicate effectively and gain respectful behavior from your adolescent
- Discipline effectively
- Ways to make parenting less stressful

Siblings Without Rivalry
Join Laurie Wong, who also is the presenter for “Active Parenting of Teens” will be facilitating this 90 minute "Siblings Without Rivalry" workshop! The cost is $25 Individuals ($10 registration/$15 book) and $35 Couples ($20 registration/$15 book).
