“Co-parenting is not an exact science. You may feel totally competent one day and sure you are a miserable failure the next. Learning to roll with the punches and keep striving for the best results will help you, your co-parent and your child keep perspective and maintain a happy and nourishing relationship. If you need additional help, try a co-parenting workshop or an online co-parenting program to learn tips and tricks to help you and your co-parent be successful and happy in your nurturing roles.”

Thursday, 3/19 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. @ Westview High  Mindful Parenting for Your Child’s Success! with Author of Mindful Parent Happy Child Pilar Placone, Ph.D. www.pilarplacone.com SEE FLYER
“Most of the immediate reactions we have, with our kids or otherwise, are a result of the early 'hard-wiring' in our brain we developed mostly in our childhood, from the adults around us. How do we improve our parenting and instill a deep parent - child connection if the hard-wiring in our brain makes us behave in ways we wish we could take back? We can choose new wiring by practicing principles and modeling presented in "Mindful Parent Happy Child". When parents practice these methods, they are on a path of not only growing joyful and resilient children but they are directly participating in growing a more compassionate world.”

Wednesday, 4/22 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. What Every Parent Needs to Know About Drug and Alcohol Abuse! with Author of Bringing Your Teen Back From the Brink Will Wooton, CADC II @ Bernardo Heights Middle | SEE FLYER
Teens in every community and school environment are increasingly exposed to drugs – ever more powerful drugs – at younger and younger ages. No neighborhood, school, or income level is immune. In fact, upscale communities are sometimes more prone to the problem because where there’s money, the drug dealers follow. And today’s media, especially the Internet, is an endless source of information on drugs – even glorifying their use.”
